Jill Knell has a twenty five year professional background in the Human Services Industry, in organisational development and research, social planning, community development, health and wellbeing. She currently works part time as a Senior Consultant (Organisational Learning) with the Queensland Department of Communities as well as running her own business www.soulintheworkplace.com Jill has studied mainstream religions and eastern and alternate philosophies for many years. Her parallel stream of spiritual development has seen her merge her personal and professional lives into a practice framework of love, truth, peace, and integrity. She believes that our work needs to be an authentic expression of who we really are, physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually - head, hands, heart & spirit in harmony. Jill believes that global transformation begins with personal transformation and the seeds for this lie within everyone Jill has worked in and with government, third & private sector organisations and with academia. She has been able to practically demonstrate the power of using emotional and spiritual intelligence in the work place to lead organisational transformation. Jill's work has won Regional Awards and she was a finalist in the 2003 Queensland Ministers Award of Excellence. She has also presented workshops and research papers at national and international conferences. She currently has research partnerships with a number of universities on the topics of; 'Work-life Balance' (recipient of a substantial Australian Research Council grant), 'The Principles & Logics of Collaboration' 'Spiritual Capital' and 'Indigenous Family Well Being'. Jill has been a member of SLaM since 2001.
