Global Love Day - A Poets View. May 1st Lentil as Anything, Abbotsford Convent, Melbourne 2007
As we all know, the art and skill of the poet can take us to an internal landscape full of imagery and emotion, often providing us with piercing, profound insight. Poets over the centuries have written words on many things, but the topic of love has most likely been expressed in words by the poet more than any other topic. Love touches us at the deepest place of our being and strips away our superficial self. SLaM is proud be a major sponsor of what will be a delightful night of poetry in acknowledgement of Global Love Day on the 1st May 2007.
